Connect RCP to your AI tools
Use compatible MCP clients to work with the structure of your Right Click Prompt library while keeping account ownership and data boundaries explicit.

Current preview
A deliberately narrow first connection
RCP currently exposes category controls and bounded inventory metadata. Broader prompt-management actions remain outside this preview until their recovery and confirmation paths are ready.
What it can do
- List your category names, colors, order, and Quick Access status.
- List prompt titles and organization metadata in bounded pages.
- Create, rename, or recolor a top-level category when you request it.
- Show or hide a category in Quick Access and the browser context menu when you request it.
What stays outside the preview
- It does not return full prompt bodies.
- It cannot move, share, trash, restore, or permanently delete prompts.
- It cannot read another RCP account or accept a different user identity as an argument.
- Public directory availability and general client compatibility are not enabled yet; the setup below is for ChatGPT Developer mode.
Developer preview setup
Test with ChatGPT
These steps describe the first client path being prepared for testing. Each user signs in with their own RCP account and authorizes only their own RCP library.

Enable Developer mode
In ChatGPT, open Settings, choose Security and login, then turn on Developer mode.

Add an MCP connection
Open ChatGPT Plugins, select the plus button, and create a new connection.

Review and authorize
Review the discovered tools, sign in to RCP, and approve access only if the permissions match.
What reaches your AI client
When you ask a connected AI client to use RCP, that client sends the selected tool request to RCP and receives the tool result. The preview can return category details plus prompt titles and organization metadata. It does not return full prompt bodies.
RCP separately keeps private retry metadata for category creation so a delayed request cannot create duplicates. The full record is retained for at least 30 days, while a compact key identity remains for the life of the RCP account. Neither record contains prompt bodies.
Privacy policyDisconnecting the preview
To stop future requests, remove RCP in your AI client. During the developer preview, email support to request server-side revocation of the authorization grant. A self-service RCP connections page is not available yet.
